YMD Engineering, LLC Was founded August 1990 as a tool and die Mnufacturing company in New Brunswick, New Jersey by Sam Ravee.

In January 2000 YMD expanded its activities into design and building of special machinery. The company entered into the wire and cable field with Mr. Ravee's patent development of the Universal Payoff & Take-up machines . The models that were invented are:
 #PO 400-630-800-1000, TU 400-630-800-1000.

Presently, the company is selling their model * UPT 400 630-800-1000, which includes the following: Universal Payoff & Take-up including pneumatic dancer arm with pressure regulator, analog induction proximity sensor and encoder control, and spooling traverses.
